The Jack Stafford Foundation and Absinthe are playing at the launch of The Independent Record Company on the 29th January at the Winston, Warmoestraat 129, Amsterdam. Doors open at 8pm. 5 euros ticket price. Followed by DJ Jasper into the night.
The Independent Night is a new monthly band night in Amsterdam for the bands that are doing it for themselves. Exclusively for unsupported artists, these nights are put on for the bands and by the bands who are responsible for the publicity, organisation and promotion.
The Jack Stafford Foundation: Jack Stafford is an Englishman who started out as a singer-songwriter and is now ready with his debut album with a full band – Exes – which will be released on Valentine's Day and is made up of bitter and sweet odes to his ex-girlfriends. The 2nd single Toyboy will be released on 31st January.

Absinthe: A British 3-piece based in Amsterdam but intent on world domination. The thing with a three piece band is that all three elements must combine to create one voice - there's no room for half measures. The live shows are legendary - full on from beginning to end they'll have you walking away at the end of the night needing more. Absinthe - lose yourself, abuse yourself.
