This is a true review about a fake artist. She's called Sandi Thom and her album is called Smile... It Confuses People, a "starving" artist who made it big through webcasting live shows from her tiny apartment. The suits from every major record company then fell over knocking on her door to sign her up. Sony came up as the winner in the struggle for this raw talent.
Yeah right. The truth is: it's a marketing gimmick, it's a lie and Sandi Thom is a singer/songwriter who should be locked up with a few books on the history of 20th century music and a stack of beginners guides to writing decent tunes. She's got a nerve coming up up with song titles like I Wish I Was a Punk Rocker (With Flowers in My Hair), being blissfully ignorant about either punk or flower power.
Avoid this album if you want to hold down your dinner. Don't use it as a coaster -- it will knock over your beer.
