Have a guitar.? Like Deep Purple? Make some noise at Harrods in London.
The famous Harrods department store in London is inviting guitarists to come down next week for a mass performance of Deep Purple's "Smoke On The Water." The store is hoping to bring in 2,000 players for the event, in a bid to break the world record for most guitarists simultaneously playing one song. According to Harrods, the title is currently held by 1,322 people who got together in 1994 in Vancouver, British Columbia, to rock out on Ritchie Blackmore's classic riff. The jam will take place next Sunday (February 18th) at 8 a.m., and the store will have complimentary ear plugs for everyone.
