Electrelane is an indie band from Brighton in the UK, making the kind of off kilter music that will appeal to afficionados of the Throwing Muses and the Au Pairs. Vocalist Verity Susman sound like a female cross between Tom Verlaine and Robert Smith. Electrelane is not afraid to expand beyond the indie, shoegazing genre. Their new album No Shouts No Calls includes a couple of well executed instrumentals. The Lighthouse is a track begging to be sampled and making them lots of money in the proces.
