After putting out a six tracks sampler in March to create some interest in the USA the Japanese sextet Oreskaband will be playing a string of dates in july and august plugging their first full length album Stateside release, a compilation of songs taken mostly from their Japan only album WAO!! and a bunch of tracksfrom their back catalogue.
The girls play ska and are obviously enjoying themselves immensely while doing so. It will get a party going when played live for sure. The Oreskaband have a high energy sound and after a couple of beers the vocals begin to sound a bit better. The strongest track is Things I've Forgotten, a song that breaks out of the ska mould and jumps all over the place. Definitely second encore material.
The album will hit the shops August 7th and is released on Terry Dollar Records.
