When Canadian singer/songwriter Trey Mills released his four-track EP Saving Me expectations for the full-length album Athabasca were quite high. Rest assured if you missed out on the EP, all the tracks are on the album plus eight more. Apparently Mills found some extra time and money to add a few extra layers to the new material. The result is best described as tasteful, the kind of record best enjoyed over a lazy breakfast.
Trey Mills steers clear of the common pitfalls of easy listening. He comes up with original arrangements original, the result of a long track record as a producer, and his lyrics make sure that you pay attention to his vocals.
Buy digital Athabasca at Opening Day's Download Shop and iTunes or order the physical CD from The Canadian Brass Store, Amazon, CDBaby or HMV.
