Barry Adamson used to play bass with new wave outfit Magazine, Visage and Nick Cave. He moved on since then as a solo artist and his new one Back To The Cat is his best yet. Adamson is the kind of guy who can sing about things going awry in a big way, styling his songs as UK sixties soundtrack. A bit of jazz, a bit of funk with subtle brass riding on top. Music from the age when Sean Connery was the coolest guy on the planet who could get away with murder with a half smile on his face.
If you liked his work for David Lynch's movie Lost Highway, you will love Back To The Cat.
Back To The Cat is released thru Central Control International, the production home of Barry Adamson. Release dates: Digital: March 17 (worldwide), CD & LP: March 31 2008 (UK/EU), April 22 (USA/AUS).
