The Soft Targets are a trio from Tallahassee, Florida. That's not a city renowned for musical prowess, but changes are that this band has scored a bulls' eye with their sophomore album Heavy Rainbow. Think the Kinks sans the sarcasm, a stripped down version of the Small Faces, fast forward to Blur and Lloyd Cole & The Commotions, and add another off-shore "UK band" carrying American passports. Best described as a sunny side up pop album that feels like a summer breeze.
Soft Targets:
Jesse Corry: vocals, guitars
Nate Sadler: bass, keys, vocals
Steve Gillespie: drums, percussion, vocals
Heavy Rainbow is released on Cloud 13 Records.
