The Safes from Chicago are always in a hurry, releasing full-lengths and EPs at break neck speed. Their latest release, the 5 track EP Sight of All Light, comes howling from the speakers. This is garage rock with a capital G. The Sky Is Falling sounds like a Pixies outtake with a jangling guitar that channels like Joey Santiago in almost scary way.
The Safes are a family affair, three brothers O'Malley (Frankie, Michael and Patrick), with guest musician David Suycott on drums. The EP runs for only a little over 11 minutes, so be sure to hit repeat.
Sight of All Light is released on their own label O' Brothers Records. Buy it from the band.
