At 59 Hugh Cornwell still has the DIY punk attitude. His new album Hooverdam is available as a free download. The former main man of The Stranglers has embraced internet technology in a big way as a means to communicate with his fans - his website is available in twelve languages.
Cornwell writes rollicking melodies, with a vintage rock 'n' roll beat mashed with his trademark street cool vocals. He knows that he is Banging On At The Same Old Beat, but there's no need to change a good thing.
Hooverdam is released on Invisible Hands Music. Physical copies will be available on vinyl and as a triple-sleeved digi-pak CD/DVD, which will contain Hugh’s film “Blueprint,” featuring live studio performance inter-spliced with an interview with Hugh at the Tate Gallery in London. Release date: September 8.
