The Lost Cavalry: Waves Freeze to Rolling Hills

Guitar player Mark West left Fanfarlo and founded The Lost Cavalry. This London based neo-folk band made the smart move to cover Stop The Cavalry, the Jona Lewie surprise 1980 Christmas hit, resulting in a healthy dose of airplay in the UK.

The band's debut EP Waves Freeze to Rolling Hills is a collection of musical short stories. Damsels in distress, a secret passage and an elephant all feature in the lyrics. They sound a bit Crowded House with a wider range of instrumentation. Recommended for a lazy picknick in the park.

The Lost Cavalry:
Dave Roberts: drums, vocals
Mark West: vocals, ukulele, concertina
Nick Goold: guitars
Oliver Whitehead: bass
Toby Atkins: melodica, glockenspiel, vocals
