Jake Holmes wrote and recorded Dazed and Confused in 1967. The Yardbirds startred playing it after Holmes had opened for them at the Village Theater in Greenwich Village on August 25, 1967. Led Zeppelin made it famous as a lengthy in-concert workout (and claiming copyright).
