A dream came true for Boston musician Corin Ashley when he set foot in the Abbey Road studios to record two songs for a new 7 inch. Preferring The Beatles in mono, he was thrilled to enter the historic environment.
Badfinger Bridge is a glorious ballad and more upbeat B-side Second Hand Halo contains a nod to the Fab Four's Taxman. His band for the occasion was named the Chocolate Olivers, featuring Ken Stringfellow (Posies, Big Star), Ed Ball of TV Personalities and Martin and Bobby from the Boo Radleys. Charlie Francis (High Llamas, Robyn Hitchcock) acted as the producer.
The Abbey Road Session is released on blue vinyl on the Spanish label Elefant Records.
