Krampus: Kronos' Heritage

Death folk metal from Italy. Krampus are an eight piece band who combine traditional folk instruments with supersonic trash metal guitar licks and loud-as-fuck drums. Their new EP Kronos' Heritage comes with the lyrics printed inside the cover art, which saves a lot of time trying to figure out what the grunter is raving on about. As per usual it's about the epic battles, the wrath of the gods, and the end of the world due to environmental issues.

According to the band something is very rotten in Italy (guess who's to blame for that). Listeners may feel a little numb after being exposed to nearly 12 minutes of mayhem - there is a few short breathers, but otherwise it's full speed ahead. Try again and discover that the songs are neatly structured and the instruments are well balanced. If they sound gets muddy, it's intentional, just like the carefully applied dirt that was used during the shoot of the promo photos of the band.

Krampus:
Filippo Gianotti: lead vocals
Marika Geremia: violin & female vocals
Alessandro Gallera: fuitar & backing growl
Tommaso Adriano: keyboards
Leonardo: lead Guitar
Davide Zampato: bass
