NYC musicians Wayne Olivieri and Gar Francis have revived The Rockids, a DIY rock band that originally founded in 1973 who played dozens of times at legendary venues like CBGB's and Max's Kansas City. They never got a break or a recording deal back then. When Olivieri called on Francis this year he suggested to record the first song they played at their first jam session, a cover of Eddie Cochran's C'mon Everybody.
They stick close to the original with the guitars more upfront to show off their garage rock roots - it's obvious that they had a ball in the studio. The Rockids pay tribute to a hugely influential pioneer of rock 'n' roll. A good song never get old.
C'mon Everybody is released on Bongo Boy Records. Buy it (digital only) from CD Baby.
