London garage rock band Novella have made a video for their new single Mary's Gun. Putting fuzz boxes to good use, they go for the psychedelic underground Sixties feel, a wall-of-sound on a shoestring budget. The clip was directed by Aza Shade.
Mary's Gun is a song about Mary Weiss, the lead vocalist in The Shangri-Las. Supposedly she got in trouble with the FBI for carrying a gun around with her for protection after someone tried to break into her hotel room.
The single is released on Italian Beach Babes Records. The pressing plant fucked up the 7" vinyl. They are repressing the 300 copies. You can download the track off iTunes in the next couple of days.
