Toronto based jamtronica band Chameleon Project is one of those bands who persevere. Pretty big in their hometown they got some long deserved recognition playing at Camp Bisco last year. Their show as well received by the festival attendees and they have a 5-track EP Live from Camp Bisco to proof it. There is a hint of progressive rock in their dance anthems, not unlike those of Particle and of course the undisputed kings of the genre, The Disco Biscuits.
This is the kind of music that is best experienced in a live environment with a massive light show. Still, the tracks are catchy enough to bring the fun to your living room, granted that you own a half decent sound system to bring out the gentler nuances of the keyboard parts.
Chameleon Project:
Josh Laing: guitar, real time sampling + effects
Snappy Homefry: bass, studio production
Kevin Correia: drums
Sebastian Buccioni: synth, keyboards
Live from Camp Bisco is a self-released EP. Buy it from the band's website.
