Terrible Spaceship are on a mission, reviving legendary media events and turning them into a multimedia experience. Invaders: 1938 revisits Orson Welles’ radio play based on H.G. Wells’ The War Of The Worlds. Some of the listeners actually believed that the Martians had landed. The Chicago septet has come with new music augmented by snippets from the broadcast, turning it into a half hour sonic experience, a left-field avant garde dance music show.
Can the music hold its own without the visuals that accompany their live shows? Pretty much. Thees guys can conjure up gripping textures that can connect to the mind's eye. Headphones recommended.
