After releasing the I Wish I Could Talk in Technicolor single in December last year Wired to Follow Wired to Follow have finished their Everything in Colour EP. The Liverpool based quartet is into instrumental soundscapes, with a few vocal dialogue samples thrown in. Halfway between drones and dreampop the band explores embarks on a journey through the virtual world (Abort, Retry, Fail) and pays tribute to Apple's Lucy project.
So, avoid if you're not a computer geek? Far from it. The music of Wired to Follow should appeal to lovers of ambient and post-rock. This is what Sonic Youth could have sounded like after being locked up in a room with Brian Eno.
Wired to Follow:
Tom Dempsey: drums
Barry Fearns: keyboards
Stephen Johnston: guitar
Siôn Keir: guitar
Everything in Colour is a self-released EP. Buy it from the band's website.
