Canadian singer Christine Leakey has a soft spot for romantic horror. Her latest release is the My Heart Has Been Broken By One Unfit To Name single, almost a spoken word performance on top of a cabaret backing straight out of the Weimar Republic. Originally written as a commission for a scene in the UK cult film Where the Dogs Divide Her (of which the video contains footage) it is released as a digital download and limited Edition (only 50 copies) handmade 7" lathe cut picture disc record.
The track won't be included on her forthcoming new album which will be released in 2014. Recommended if you like the Kurt Weill/Bertolt Brecht stage works and Amanda Palmer.
