The Yellow Dress: Faint Music // Ordinary Light

Cheerful anti-folk pop with a hint of melancholy. San Franciso band The Yellow Dress have found a way to stick a barrage of words into their songs, while keeping the flow intact on their third album Faint Music // Ordinary Light.

They touch base with the sax sound of early Roxy Music (FatherSunFunRun // Walk Towardson // Daniel Pennypacker) and the garage rock of the Modern Lovers in A Complete List of Fears Ages 5-28 (aprox) (spoiler alert: the singer's current fear is his girlfriend walking out on him). The B52s' influence comes to the fore up during the final track Isaac Fitzgerald (bum bum bum). A Summer record in the midst of Winter.

The Yellow Dress: Dan Weiss: vocals, guitar
Jonathan Kirk Moyer: bass
Jasmine Moser: glockenspiel, vocals
Dan Nordheim: guitar
Zoe Rose Palladino: vocals
Mark Roquet: drums
Morgan Womble-Dahl: clarinet
Rachel Shearer: saxophone
Additional backing vocals: Daniela Ricci, Neil Campau, Rob Little, Rachel Shearer, Dan Nordheim, Tiffany Parker, May Oskan, Jonathan Axtell, and Dr Emmett Brown
