Californian quintet Waterstrider formed in 2009, but it took them several years to find their bearings and own sound. The current line-up has found a middle ground between prominent percussion and gentle vocals. The single Redwood serves as a taster for their forthcoming full-length.
Lead singer Nate Salman has an impressive range - two octaves without even trying. This is a band that can get a groove going, multiple ones inside one song as a matter of fact.
Waterstrider:
Nate Salman: vocals, guitar
Drew Brown: guitar, synth
Scott Brown: bass
Brijean Murphy: percussion
Walker Johnson: drums
They will be on the road throughout February and March, supporting Gardens & Villa.
