Princeton University hosts an interdisciplinary conference celebrating the music, art, and culture of Pink Floyd on Sunday, April 13th 2014 at Taplin Auditorium. Extramural activities on April 10th-12th in the town of Princeton, NJ. Free admission, but it's mandatory to RSVP.
- Grammy-Award winner and Pink Floyd producer/engineer James Guthrie
- Lectures and discussions by scholars and artists from various disciplines, including Professors Nigel Smith (Princeton University) and Shaugn O’Donnell (CUNY Graduate Center)
- Live compositions and arrangements inspired by Pink Floyd’s music
- Playing of James Guthrie’s surround mix of Pink Floyd’s music
- Pink Floyd Jam Session at Princeton’s Small World Coffee - sign up to perform your favorite Floyd song with the house band
- Screening of the classic film The Wall by the Princeton Film Society
- “Happy Hour” for conference attendees at Winberie’s Restaurant and Bar on Sunday 4/13/14 at 6:30pm-8:30 and 10pm-midnight (upon presenting a conference tag)
- Special “Pink Floyd flavor” ice cream at The Bent Spoon with discount for conference attendees (upon presenting a conference tag)
