Chris Bell (vocals, guitar) and Charles Etienne (vocals, keyboards) are The Alpine Camp, a roots rock duo from Los Angeles, CA. Their EP sixpack is about halfway country and bluegrass, with just a few rook licks thrown in. The duo's forte is their harmonizing, but check out the slide guitar too.
With the toe-tapping $400 Millionaire and the sad story of the protagonist in Noose they have come with two serious contenders for Americana song of the year. Lead single Parents, a mid-tempo song with a tugging bass line, should be able to pick up considerable airplay on the country circuit. The accompanying video shows their love for the great outdoors.
sixpack is a self-released EP. It will be released in the summer.
