Jersey musician J Hacha De Zola likes cheap instruments and makes them sound good on his new single Better Run, the sorry tale of man who is going through a nasty breakup with his girlfriend. It's a mix of Nick Cave and Tom Waits, while he pounds away on a cheap toy piano and lets rip on penny whistles and much, much more. A fine example of trashcan Americana having a ball with baroque pop.
J Hacha De Zola: vocals, acoustic, electric, toy piano, whistles, hatchets, plates
Jerry Ramos: bass
Hank Yaghooti: drums
Alex Wolfson: harp
Better Run is a self-released single. Buy it from his website. His full-length Escape from Fat Kat City will be released on January 8th, 2016.
