The Chewers: Live at Exit/In

Garage noise cock duo The Chewers are always ready for storming through for a gnarly set of succinct pieces of mayhem. Their show at the Exit/In in their hometown Nashville, TN is preserved for posterity. Travis Caffrey and Michael Sadler attacked a bunch of songs from their latest albums Dead Dads and Chuckle Change And Also.

Nobody sounds like them, but they can sound like three of four acts at once (Johnny Dowd + 13th Floor Elevators + Dinosaur Jr + Sonic Youth). Ssriously weird and way too scary for 99,9% of the human population The Chewers are so far underground that most people don't even realise that they are real. Those in-the-knows have invented brand new dance moves trying to cope with Jimmy Does the Shimmy and Techno-Slaves.

Remember when rock was dirty and dangerous? These guys do, playing tiny venues for a handful of ardent fans, shunning the bright lights of the Grand Ole Opry.
