Los Angeles based rockers The Americans know how to write a song that sounds familiar after hearing a few bars. Their new single The Right Stuff is a travelogue that has road trip music written all over it.
With instruments roaring like wolves or almost going down to a stage whisper the spotlight is on the hoarse vocals of lead singer Patrick Ferris, but it's drummer Tim Carr sense for melodic fills that gives the track the power of freight train, making it's way through the night. This is a song about running away to God knows where. Recommended if you like Drive-By Truckers and Creedence Clearwater Revival.
The Americans:
Patrick Ferris: vocals, guitar
Zac Sokolow: guitar, banjo
Jake Faulkner: bass
Tim Carr: drums
