UK electro-pop outfit Cocoa Futures have taken from art-rockers like Roxy Music, Talking Heads and Peter Gabriel during his Sledgehammer phase. Their new single The Blue has upfront keyboards, a tugging bass line and vocals that just fall short of being all out falsetto. With its prominent use of a looped ice cream-van siren and plenty of echo it could have been recorded in the early Eighties.
The Blue is released thru Lost In The Manor Records. Release date: September 16th. The Blue EP hits the shops in December.
