Former one-man band Daddy Lion has grown into a full-fledged indie powerpop band. Jeremy Joseph has teamed up with three musicians who share his love for creating for accessible pop with a Nineties twist. Their new single Maslow serves as taster for Learn to Have Nothing and You Will Have Everything, their debut full-length as a quartet.
The song features Amy Cuthbertson on cello. It was recorded in the attic of a lake house that belonged to synth player Chris Johnson's grandparents. The place may be in need of some serious repairs, but the acoustics don't need any fixing at all.
Daddy Lion:
Jeremy Joseph: guitar, vocals
Chris Johnson: synth, programming
Randal Franklin: bass
Bart Ballington: drums
Maslow is a self-released single. Buy it (pay-what-you-want) from their website.
