Indie powerpop band Daddy Lion have released another song from their forthcoming album Learn to Have Nothing and You Will Have Everything, their debut full-length as a quartet. Storm deals with the inner turmoil in the aftermath of the damage caused by the severe weather phenomenon. Nice call-and-response between the synth and guitar and kudos to whomever got that great sound on the cymbals.;p>
Once again this they recorded in the attic of a lake house that belonged to synth player Chris Johnson's grandparents. The great in-house acoustics would have set them back a hefty sum in a professional studio.
Daddy Lion:
Jeremy Joseph: guitar, vocals
Chris Johnson: synth, programming
Randal Franklin: bass
Bart Ballington: drums
Storm is a self-released single. Buy it (pay-what-you-want) from their website. The Learn to Have Nothing and You Will Have Everything album will be released in January 2018
