Anglo-American indie band Slum Summer pair an American lo-fi garage rock vibe to an English sense for melody on their single Bobby, a taste from their forthcoming album ABABO (out on January 18th on Jigsaw Records). It's a ramshackle but irresistible slice of shoestring budget recording.
Hugh J Noble (guitar/vocals), DJ Anderson(drums), Jen Edwards (guitar) and Grant Stewart(bass) had to wade to tons of possible songs to record and if the rest of the album is as good as this one they have a winner that will be embraced by music geeks, college rock fans, and critics who can't resist a healthy dose of the two guitars, baas and drums format.
