Belgian American multi-instrumentalist Trixie Whitley appears to be suffering form a mild case of horror vacui on het new album Lacuna, filling every available space with sounds, effects. Add her musical diversity - soul, jazz, rock, pop and electronica - and changes that she would have ended up with an undecipherable mess.;p>
Truth be told that it does get a bit crowded at times, when she adds yet another layer. And another. And another. Persist and Lacuna shows itself as multifaceted art rock extravaganza, about halfway PJ Harvey and Björk.
Lacuna is released via Unday Records. Release date: March 29.
