Dutch avant-pop singer LIJO constructed a wall of harsh percussion for her new single Push Me. There a plenty of windows in it, giving her ample opportunity to show off her vocal skills and her grab bag of melodic ideas. It is an intriguing exercise of progressive electronic pop, as if Alice has grown up and fell into a black hole in stead of rabbit hole this time. Luckily enough she came back to the world to share the weirdness she experienced on the other side.
Push Me is released via Mind The Gap, an indie label she co-founded with electro-rock duo Pocket Knife Army.
