Indie powerpop band Daddy Lion rounded up three songs that came to them during the night, hence the title for their Dream Pop EP. They used a bit of grunge and college rock, giving the material an edge that makes it clear that the dreams that were the inspiration were not necessarily very happy ones.
Please Tell Me, with its carnival-esque sounds is the most adventurous, while the power ballad Feelin' It's All Gone Wrong and The Prophecy (with its singalong inducing coda) are dead ringers for mainstream nineties radio playlists.
