When German singer Micha Maat released his Joanna he had his hopes up that it might become a huge Summer hit. Singing in his native tongue wouldn't have gotten in the way of the enjoyment of an international party crowd. Maybe net year then - he covered all the bases with an infectious melody, a few references to mainstream good time song titles and a rhythm that can be understood by even the most musically challenged dancers.
