Theatrical singers Amanda Palmer and Rhiannon Giddens teamed for a cover of It's A Fire, turning the Portishead track into an orchestral call-to-arms pop song. The sound of the Fifties found a wormhole to travel to the 21st Century.
Marta Sofia Honer (violins and violas) and Caleigh Drane (cellos) recorded their parts at home. Longtime Palmer collaborator Jherek Bischoff handled the mixing and mastering, besides playing double bass, electric bass, and percussion.
