Scottish musicians Adam Ross (Randolph’s Leap, A.R. Pinewood) and Gareth Perrie (The Smart Set, Lenzie Moss) recorded the tracks for an EP during lockdown, sharing files back and forth for their side project The Polychromes. They released Going Offline as a single, getting into the head of conspiracy theorist, who is awfully busy disagreeing with total strangers to uphold his self-styled status by way of a surrogate lifestyle. Bubbling sounds and a damn fine psych-folk melody soften the serious message a bit.
Going Offline is a self-released single. Buy it (pay-what-you-want) from their website.
