Detroit based deathgaze band Vazum have a new single, Haunted House, written shortly after singer and bass player Emily Sturm woke up from a scream in the middle of the night. She went outside, saw nothing, but in the morning the porch's of her neighbour was taped off as a crime scene by the police. The woman and her child were brutally murdered. Ever since then she has been blaming herself, wondering if she could have prevented the tragedy. With her band mate Zach Pliskah she built a wall of sound as a kind of protection. Recommended if you like The Sisters of Mercy in their Floodland phase.
Haunted House is a self-released single. Buy it from their website. Their new album, V+, is due to be released in the Summer.
