Pearie Sol, keyboards player for DC-area rockers Gauche, goes weird and franctic on his new single Slime Pit. Being in a bad place and wanting to get out can be a real challenge. He is scaling the walls of his predicament, wailing in anguish, egged on by stack of cheesy but catchy organ sounds, hectic drums. A prime example of art rock meets punk, as if Captain Beefheart and Jad Fair teamed up with Sparks.
Slime Pit is a track from his forthcoming album Real Happiness, out on June 18 via Happy Happy Birthday To Me Records (CD, cassette).
