Folk-rock singer-songwriter Calista Garcia has found a way to mix the sound of the seventies with a bunch of 21st century trinkets on her new single, Deep Blue Diving. Telling the tales of women falling for fast-talking strangers, Garcia urges her listeners to take care of themselves and go it alone. That's the only way to stay safe as she is "swimming in the deep preiordial soup and I am just beginning to look at the truth". Nice touch using old school harmonica and organ as a counterpoint for her crystal clear vocal delivery.
Her new EP, A Beautiful World, will be released on October 29th.
