Dutch country singer Amber Kamminga is slowly gravitating to a more poppy sound. Her latest single Name On It is about serendipity - basically the occurrence of a happy incident. Working up the nerve to talk to someone is never easy, but she is obviously glad she did. She slows down for the middle-eight, before going into a celebratory mood to showcase her impressive vocal range.
Name On It is a self-released single. Available for streaming on Spotify.
HCTF review of 3AM.
This gently rocks. It starts out a bit Avril Lavigne, then Kelly Clarkson, then Taylor Swift or Alanis Morissette in a country-rocking, radio-friendly, pop-song type of way. Great clear voice and subtle guitars. Can't remember what the lyrics were about but the chorus is in the title.
