English poppy post-punk trio Organised Scum go back in time with their new single, 1980, perusing skewed rhythms, a lonesome clarinet, percolating synths and fuzzy guitars to tell a sad tale from a mum's perspective. They name Berlin-era Bowie as the catalyst for their sonic palette, which is quite accurate. The vocals will ring a bell with Human League fans. The track will be included on their new album, Remoan, due for release in October.
