Toronto alternative rock veterans ON keep gnarly, bass-heavy music alive with their latest single, Blackmail. It is as if the Nineties never ended in their neck of the woods. Lead singer and bass player Lucy Di Santo knows how to work a crowd, spitting out the words of this song about finding empowerment in the midst of chaos. For a start, taking shit from nobody helps a lot. Sonic Youth fans will appreciate Steve Fall's low down and dirty guitar tone.
It is a track from their latest self-titled album, released via their own label Indiestructable Records.
Very good, sounds like a cross between Garbage and Chickenfoot.
