In 1976 country rockers The Flying Burrito Brothers were no longer a groundbreaking band, and their fifth album Airborne was rightfully butchered by the critics. So it is no wonder that they played mostly true-and-tried material when they played in New York on August 18, 1976. For completists it is good news that Live From The Bottom Line NYC 1976 will be released on Black Friday (November 25), but it is far from essential.
Whoever created the cover art should be ashamed, giving the bad a really bad haircut. 1200 copies worldwide. Hunt down a copy ofAuthorized Bootleg/Fillmore East, New York, N.Y. - Late Show, November 7 1970 for a taste of the band in their prime instead.
