Palatin, IL based indie quartet Push Puppets try to look on the bright side after a relationship ended on their new single The Bane of My Existence. In trying to cope singer Erich Specht went through the usual grieving stages, before getting ready to let go and see the breakup as a blessing in disguise. Upbeat power-pop has produced countless sad songs and this one is top-tier, although they could have gone for a prominent role in the mix for bassist John William Lauler. It is a track from their latest album, Allegory Grey.
