The membets of Belgium's finest indie rock band dEUS go in at the deep on their new single, 1989. Lead singer and guitarist Tom Barman has mustered all of his courage to lower his voice, trying to reach the depths on Leonard Cohen, with the band providing a smooth backing, dipping their toes in yacht rock before wising up and setting course to the mellower side of early Simple Minds instead.
1989 is available on the usual digital outlets. It is a track from their forthcoming new album How To Replace It, out on February 17th via PIAS (vinyl, CD, digital)
