Hong Kong British artist mui zyu, nom-de-plume of Eva Liu, has released a new single. Dusty is a soft-spoken, off-kilter love song, with a few stray bum notes thrown in to rip apart the jazzy dreampop fabric on purpose. Singing about both new found love and fear that it won't last are struggling for dominance, with no clear winner in sight.
Dusty is a track from her forthcoming first solo full-length, Rotten Bun for an Eggless Century via Father/Daughter Records. It is available for pre-order here (coloured vinyl, CD, digital). Release date: February 24th. The animated video was made by Danny Grant.
Live dates:- 03/01 London, UK @ Servant Jazz Quarters
- 03/13 Austin, TX @ South by Southwest (SXSW)
