English baroque-pop quartet Tugboat Captain have resurfaced as a recording unit with their new single, Flash of Light, cramming a shitload of genres within the space of 125 seconds. They have the nerve to kick off the proceedings with a lengthy intro, a thing that was supposedly killed by the streaming services. It gives them ample opportunity to build the tension before giving the floor to the sad, pastoral vocal part and a piano-led coda.
