English singer Jessica Blaise Ward describes shying away from a major angry outburst on her new single Ragequit. She settled for a South American jazzy mood, but it is clear that she is still shimmering and she raises her voice as the track progresses.
After a lengthy crystalline guitar solo commandeers the spotlights, she steps up to the mike again for a show of the upper reaches of her impressive range. This will no doubt frustate her students - she is a Senior Lecturer of songwriting for BMus (Hons) Popular Music Performance at Leeds Arts University - when they try to replicate it. Kudos to Jan Hajsen for the top shelf dynamics.
Ragequit is a self-released single. Find it on Apple Music and Spotify.
