Dutch folk singer Ismena does some serious soul searching on her new album This Time. The emotions were captured while they were still raw and it helped her a bit dealing with heartbreak, depression, and insecurity. She triesto keep her demons at bay by way of piano and acoustic guitar dream pop. The quiet intensity of songs like Nothing Remains and Damage is overwhelming, but in a beautiful way.
This Time is about hope against all odds, offering a bit of solace to everyone who has gone through a breakup. Her crystal clear voice is the guiding light to reach the end of the tunnel. What comes after that is unclear, but at least the journey now has a soundtrack.
Ismena: vocals, guitar and piano
